FAQ'S

WHAT IS YOUR COVID POLICY?

Please follow this link to view our Covid policy and procedures

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

So long as you’re comfortable it doesn’t really matter - although you may not want to wear a skirt as I will need your feet hip width apart to give you an excellent treatment! You just need to be able to take your shoes and socks off so I can access your feet and calves

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Our first session together will take 75 minutes - see below. A standard session will take 1 hour, with 5-10 minutes at the start of the session to discuss where you are currently at and establish a clear intention for the treatment. The reflexology treatment will take 45 mins, and then there will be another 5-10 minutes at the end to discuss what sensitivities were found during the treatment and any life style suggestions that may help you before the next session

During a 90 minute session the start and end of the session will be the same with a 70 minute treatment of reflexology

WHY IS THE FIRST TREATMENT LONGER?

On the first meeting with a new client a health consultation will be taken. This allows us to discuss your physical and mental health and what your lifestyle is like. This information is then used to create a treatment plan tailored to your needs. All information taken is private and confidential

CAN I COME FOR JUST ONE TREATMENT?

Of course! Reflexology is a wonderful way to relax and disconnect from our busy lives. After just one treatment many people say that they feel calmer, slept better and have a little mood boost. I’m sure you’ll be back for more!

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER A TREATMENT?

Most people find the feel deeply relaxed post treatment. Make sure to drink plenty of water in order to help your body re-balance itself. You may feel quite tired, thirsty, need the toilet more than usual or a little emotional after a treatment. This is totally normal as it is your body’s way of re-balancing. You might also feel a little more sensitive to alcohol and caffeine, so just be mindful of that. Listen to your body, do what you need to do. If you feel concerned about anything you experience after a treatment do not hesitate to contact me

DOES IT HURT/CAN IT CAUSE ME LONG-TERM HARM?

Reflexology should not hurt or cause long-term damage. Reflexology is a non-invasive practice where you shall be handled with care. I practice reflexology using a gentle touch. You may experience some sensitivity in areas that need to be re-balanced which may feel slightly uncomfortable but the pressure can always be adjusted. Overall the experience should be very relaxing. There may be times where it could cause harm but in those instances I would choose not to treat you – see below

IS THERE A TIME I CANNOT RECIEVE TREATMENT?

If you currently have any fungal infection on the foot, contagious diseases, high fever, gangrene, or deep-vein thrombosis, concieving with IVF or broken bones in the foot, ankle or leg I will not treat you

CAN I HAVE REFLEXOLOGY DURING PREGNANCY?

Yes, I have completed my Maternity Reflexology training with Sally Earlam and can  support you through all stages of pregnancy. Reflexology during pregnancy can help to ease symptoms like morning sickness and pelvic girdle pain and also to prepare the body for birth

CAN IT CURE ME?

Reflexology cannot cure a condition. As a Reflexologist my intention is to support you on a journey to more balanced health and will work to change and improve symptoms patterns. I will also never diagnose you with a condition. If during our treatments together I feel there is something outside the remit of my knowledge I may refer you to another health care professional (medical or alternative) to support you further

HOW DOES A HOME TREATMENT WORK?

Once a date and time have been arranged I will come to your home to do a full treatment for you. For a home visit I can do a treatment with you on a reclining sofa or arm chair, or on a regular sofa if there is access to your feet (no arm rest) or you are happy to have your feet propped up on an arm rest.

I can also perform the treatment with you in your bed provided there is no foot board and space for me to work at the foot of the bed with a small folding stool I will bring with me. All you need to provide is:

- A large towel to wrap your feet in

- A pillow to rest your feet on

- A blanket to wrap yourself up in

I will bring the rest of my equipment

HOW DOES A CORPORATE/STUDIO BOOKING WORK?

Once a date and time have been arranged I will come to your space to carry out the desired number and type of treatments. I will require an area to treat the clients privately and set up my equipment which will include a reclining chair. I will provide all the equipment in these visits

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

I have a strict cancellation policy whereby 24 hours notice must be given or you will be charged for your treatment in full
